feste_sylvainMy New Month's Resolution is to post here every day (modulo being away from the internet altogether for a day). I've been letting Facebook and Google Buzz do all my social networking, and those media do not accommodate deep(er) thoughts.
So, in brief: while I've been relatively silent, people around the world have continued to be stupid. There was a flare-up about something called the "Ground Zero Mosque", which is as inaccurate a name as "Holy Roman Empire". The oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico was successfully capped, but my company's underwater robots found a current of oil running under the surface, so clean-up is nowhere near finished.
My family went to Liverpool and saw the Beatles Museum without me. I now have an excuse to travel for "pleasure" again, but I'm trying to resolve to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland first.
Work has been jerking me around from project to project, but management (i.e., five managers) have recognized that this was unfair to me, so the next time the necessity comes up, they're going to jerk around someone else.
And speaking of which, it's now time to run. Pre-demo this morning, demo this afternoon.
