pale_chartreuse and be_well_lowell held an open house today, and I took the kids while tamidon was delivering a cake to the other side of the Topsfield Faire opening. There were lots of kids in the age range of my younger, but none really in the age range of my elder. Fortunately, she was pretty good about getting into a Nerf war with the younger kids.

I chatted about soil care and house maintenance issues with some of their neighbors, until a few of my old college friends showed up. We got caught up a bit, and mostly talked about parenting things.

I feel normal.

Oh, but our hosts were kind enough to let me borrow The Diamond Age; we had a copy, but it was missing 40 pages, so I actually haven't read it yet.
