So, How Did That Month Go?
Oct. 1st, 2010 10:03 amRabbit rabbit!
For the month of September, I resolved to post every day.
A few interesting things about that:
So for this next month, I'm going to continue the concept of "post every day", without the actual stricture. The main thing is to see whether I can keep contact with this medium, or whether I wind up not posting for extended lengths again. Some posts will be locked, so "you" won't necessarily see them all.
But I will.
For the month of September, I resolved to post every day.
A few interesting things about that:
- To keep it all visible, none of the posts were behind a lock. This meant that things I didn't necessarily want publicly visible didn't get posted. This meant that, if the day's main activity was something I didn't want publicly visible, I posted something less relevant to my life. Hmmm.
- There are some things (classified work stuff, things second or third parties don't want posted to even my friends-lock) which aren't solved by posting under a lock.
- But this did get me to write some more fiction, which is good. I'll get to the other prompts eventually.
- It's okay to write short things.
- I did miss some days, by minutes. That's okay too. By posting just after midnite, the concept of "continual flow" was maintained.
- A couple of things weren't posted in a timely manner, just so I'd have something to post the next day. That's ridiculous. I'll drop that little OCD bit on the floor, kthxbai.
- I did not exercize just to have something to post. Which is probably good. But I didn't exercize at all, and my body could probably use some again.
- "Doing or blogging". Yeah. Some of the past-midnite posts were exactly because I was out doing. That is obviously okay.
- As it just so happens, I wasn't on any trip or other which kept me away from the internet for a whole day. It should be okay for that to happen.
