Today's Thought Experiment

Tomorrow?!
So, today's thought experiment is to ponder this counter-factual (which is historian-speak for "What if?"):
As most of us should know by now, Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) is a gun owner, and supports gun rights.
What if she had been carrying her Glock the day she was shot, and that Loughner had pulled his gun early enough for her to get the drop on him, and she had shot him dead?
How would you have reacted?
A member of Congress defending herself and those around her with lethal force...
Ponder this question now, as several members of Congress have announced that they will start carrying.
