I've finally got my car back.

As a software engineer, I've hunted down bugs much like the mechanics who diagnosed my car just went thru. Replace an obviously cracked radiator, expect the cooling system to work, yes? But when it doesn't, and you manage to isolate the coolant impeller, and when you pop the old one out and discover that it's horrificly broken, blades missing, and many other sections melted, replacing that should fix the problem, yes? And when that doesn't work, and when talking with the designers in California doesn't yield any clues, and when going over all steps with a twenty-year veteran of Volkswagen and Audi doesn't yield any clues, and you thus decide to stop believing them when they say that the "lifetime coolant" can't be it, and you force-flush the system, that should fix the problem, yes?

Well, it did. Finally.

I looked up the Blue Book value of my car. I've basically just bought it again.

Only now I have a horrifying impeller to put on my desk to remind me to maintain my verdammt car.
